Art history comes to life from the story behind history.

When I studied abroad, I was not expecting my Leonardo da Vinci art history course to be the class I would look forward to most each week. But through the way my professor taught about art like the most interesting drama on TV and being able to walk the streets of Italy where many of the works of art we learned about were created, I was quickly fascinated by the history present around me.

There’s so much to learn from the greats but also so much that’s similar between the our present and the past. I’m hoping to document and share some knowledge and passion from what I’ve learned, the places I’ve been, and new topics to explore.

This blog will be divided into three pages: Works of Art; Italian Culture & History; and Photography & Travels. Each page will have posts relevant to each topic.
